Welcome to Conscious Learning Tribe, the community of leaders and game-changers.
This is a long pause, which might well mean the end of “normal” life as we know it. Everything feels new, from our conventional ways of working to being at home, from sending our children to school to being together all day, every day. Some of us suffer from loneliness and some don’t have enough time for ourselves. Some of us love taking a break, others don’t know how to behave in this new role at home, alone, or with your lover and/or children.
Everything you want in life starts from within.
What does it mean to you to have more time off your routine? We have a unique opportunity now to connect to ourselves (finally!) and examine what we really want in life, what we dream about, who we want to relate to, and hopefully discover who we really are to find joy and meaning in life just as it comes.
You may think that society currently doesn’t leave us time to do these things and here’s exactly where the problem starts: “somebody else doesn’t let me…”. Just this realisation makes you understand that you lost the connection with yourself. Somebody else is in control of what you do, your time and/or your decisions.
We all need to reclaim responsibility, starting with ourselves (within) and not just for (external) demands of society or work. When we do this ‘homework’ first and we are able to ‘love’ ourselves first, we are able to love the ones around us more. We can create a different world based on love, empathy, compassion and connection with our community, not just on power, competition and the pathological systems that are created out of those beliefs in the first place.
At Conscious Learning Tribe, Canay, Yuri and myself have been on accelerated and intentional transformation journeys for the last few years. We founded CLT to share our learnings and invite you to share your stories as well.
Here are a few selected articles we wrote for you to learn more about our personal journeys:
A good place - What makes a place popular, or ‘good’ for so many people? Canay takes us on a journey to find out.
Great things to do in self-quarantine - We believe this period is an opportunity to deeply rethink the way we live, work and communicate together. Rudy shares his tips on how to use your time in self-isolation and turn crisis mentality into opportunity.
Look inside yourself and transform the world - Yuri’s self-reflection on what makes a worthwhile transformation, and why is it so necessary for us to transform?
The Unconference
This Sunday 19.04.2020 (5 - 7 pm CET) is The Unconference, our weekly online gathering, and this week we will talk about “How To Transform Your Identity & Role as a Whole Human?”
We are seeing our systems collapse: governments, businesses, health and social systems are failing when they are most needed. Many of us are in quarantine for an indefinite time. We have entered a GREAT PAUSE when we have no choice but to face our thoughts and emotions, including the fear, the anxiety, the mourning. We have also found ourselves playing multiple roles at once: being a colleague, partner, parent, family member… With nowhere to hide.
We’ll initiate a dialogue between our carefully curated panellists and have an introspection about our identities and roles, and learn how to acquire the mindset and tools for major transformations. Moderated and brought to you by Canay Atalay, Yuri van Geest, Primavera Salva, Michael Lane and myself, with consciousness.
The event is FREE for Conscious Learning Tribe members, registration is required here (direct Zoom registration link). Don’t wait until the last minute to register, we have limited “seats”!
You can view the The Unconference Facebook Live stream recordings of the opening event (3hrs) and last week’s session on “Designing Conscious Business Models” (1 hr 15 min).
Our partner Openlab.fm is curating a weekly non-conforming mixtape exclusively for our tribe. Enjoy this sublime piece of alternative and electronic musical curation and let your senses open up and embrace musical innovation. You can discover more of Openlab by simply pointing your browser to Openlab.fm.
Enjoy the reading and listening. Stay healthy and we hope to see you today (and every Sunday) at The Unconference.
